Intellectual Dancer's Newsletter #015
Current State Of Mind
At the end of this week I will be in San Francisco to teach some workshops to be followed by a Neokiz weekender in Portland, OR. It's been a while (even despite) COVID since I've been out on the west coast to teach. I'm excited to get back in the saddle again to continue to help dancers level up their kiz and to also continue to hone my craft of teaching.
My friend Tom Lev recently shared a cool Notion template that he's using to structure his curriculum for Brazilian zouk. I'm excited to use this to start to put some structure to build a database for my urban kiz pedagogy. I have so many intentions, concepts, drills, moves, vocabulary, techniques, and more that I have developed over the years and I need to start to download all of this knowledge into a single place. Stay tuned!

This Love & Affection Feat. Snuggles Zouk Mix by DJ Kakah is awesome!
I posted a question asking for tips to get more leads in workshops and it sparked some interesting comments.
I also posted an image for Dancepreneur University which showed the types of compensation for an artist at a festival and/or weekender. You can join the Dancepreneur University email list here.
